D'abord excédé, il finit par l'accepter et en devient même responsable, avant de le jeter dehors.
Les aventures de [[Garfield (personnage)|Garfield]], le chat le plus paresseux de la Terre et de [[Jon Arbuckle|Jon]], son maître.

Le matou sarcastique va devoir apprendre à partager sa vie bien tranquille avec un nouveau colocataire, le chien [[Odie]]. Le jetant dehors, il se révèlera par la suite responsable et héroïque.
