Geoffrey Blainey
Professor Emeritus Geoffrey Blainey AC, né 1930, est un historien australien. Il a exercé une profonde influence sur l'historiographie australienne.
Biographe
Blainey était né à Melbourne et étudiée à l'université de Melbourne. Blainey a accepté une position à l'université de Melbourne en 1962 dans la faculté des sciences économiques et du commerce. Professeur Blainey plus tard a dirigé des études australiennes à l'université de Harvard. En tant qu'historien économique, Blainey a contesté les vues conventionnelles sur le règlement européen de l'Australie, des droits de terre indigènes, et de l'immigration[1].
